There’s no bad time to go to Universal Studios, but cost, crowds, the weather, your own schedule, and special events (like a birthdays or anniversaries) can all play into your decision on when is the right time for you.
One of the biggest decisions when going to Universal Studios is where you will stay. There are soon to be 11 hotels in the Universal resort area, plus numerous additional hotels located around Universal property.
To help you choose a resort, they can be broken into a few different categories.
Universal Premier hotels offer well appointed rooms and suites, beautiful views, lovely pools, and incredible restaurants. Additionally, guests at a Universal Premier hotel receive a free Universal Express Unlimited pass for each day of their stay.
$400-$750/night
Universal Preferred Hotel and Prime Value Hotels are perfectly priced to provide casual comfort, great views, and convenient access to the parks.
$175-$500/night
Universal Value Resorts are the fun and affordable hotels with convenient shuttle access to the parks.
$120-$300/night
There are a number of hotels in the Orlando area that are conveniently located near the Universal resort. Transportation at these hotels may be less convenient, but they are an excellent way to visit the parks on a budget.
$90-$375/night
